four far right The Zoar Bridge by Sue Cappucci. Built in 1876, this bridge spanned the Housatonic River between Monroe and Oxford until 1919 when the Stevenson Dam was built.
five far left The Old Cross Hill Road Cemetery by Janet Machalowski. This illustrates tombstones with winged angels and with skull and cross bones.
five left The Burial of Hannah Cranna, the "Witch of Monroe" byJoan Sondergaard. As Hannah requested, she was carried on the shoulders of the townsmen to the cemetery just over the Trumbull town line.
