Beardsley House

The ELIOT BEARDSLEY HOMESTEAD (c.1760) is located at Great Ring Road and was purchased from the town by the Society. The Homestead is an excellent example of a late eighteenth century saltbox. The Society's objective is to transform the site into a living history of Monroe and will include a museum of local artifacts, exhibits, paintings and collections as well as a research library. The property also has a barn of a later period that is used to conduct hands-on-history workshops for local children to give them a real picture of life in colonial times.
