July Newsletter

We hope that  everyone is having an enjoyable and relaxing summer.  This newsletter will be brief with just a few items that we want you to know about.  There will be a summer board meeting on August 18 at 7:00.  We are still looking for a chairman for the Christmas Fair, and plans are underway for the Fall Market Day to take place in October.  Our new wooden Schoolhouse Collectible is here and can be purchased by calling Rita Sparano at 261-8897, and the fifth and final bottle in our commemorative bottle series will be coming this fall.

Hands on History

Our annual Hands on History workshop was held June 23, 24, and 25 at the Beardsley Homestead.  We had  20 children enrolled this summer, and made a profit of nearly $1,000.  Thank you to Brenda Schultz, Rachel Wolfe, Meghan Schultz, Meghan Whiteman, and Julie Carouso for assisting us.  Thank you to members Nancy Zorena, Millie Ohm, and Judy Standerford  for organizing and conducting this always popular summer fund raiser.

Help Wanted

Michelle Oltra and Mary Forbes are going to begin making an inventory of the collections in each of our buildings and would like to hear from you if you will be able to donate some time to this very important project.  Please call 261-1383 and leave a message.  Michelle or Mary will return your call and arrange a time.
